We have a DD lifestyle, who else has this?
Did you always call it domestic discipline?

What is DD to each of you?
To me it means that you spank the one you love beacause, they need it as much as they want it. It's easy to spank if you know that it is wanted in the realationship. Sometimes, it is expected of you and requires a different mind set to carry out everything that your role requires you to do.
Come home from work and tell me that you've been fired for yelling at your boss = You'll be spanked so you know not to do it again. After the spanking we both know that it's okay because, we love eachother and that makes the whole thing okay.
It would be like living the dream life. I get an emotional release from being spanked and it helps me sleep at night if I have a bunch of pent up BS that needs to be dealt with. My girlfriend is glad to do it as long as I don't reciprocate - she's not fond of being spanked herself but she spanks me when she knows I need it.

No, my wife usually calls it by her preferred method, as in "You need a good caning".

Exactly my experience too, Cass, about the emotional relief that comes from being spanked. My wife has the same attitude as your girlfriend, and knows very well how much it helps to administer the necessary whenever I deserve it.
Good news, Larry. That can work, I know of some very well running DD relationships that are not with married folks. Some not even living together so it is not a 24/7 situation. I hope your gf agrees to give the DD concept a try.
many years ago when first married I came with this without knowing there was DD. My wife had a terrible childhood and needed to be properly parented. So I became Daddy. Encouraging when needed and paddling when needed. Eventually evolved out of it. After we got rid of the crap mommy put in her head.
